Obesity Can Be Predicted Through Blood Tests

Overweight or obesity is a serious problem that threatens modern society. The habit of eating high-fat diet and sedentary lifestyles (settlement) is often seen as an important factor for the development of obesity.

Based on recent research by U.S. scientists, the risk of obesity, a person can actually be predicted by an analysis of blood fats. Research published the International Journal of Obesity states, the magnitude of change in triglycerides in the blood after a fatty meal may indicate whether a person suffering from obesity risk.

According to the researchers, these results pave the way for medical staff was able to identify new methods to prepare all children to find, the risk of obesity.

Triglycerides are a type of fat carried in the blood and stored in fatty tissues. This fat is in the nature of fats and food throughout the body.
“These results suggest that one day you can use a simple blood test to reduce the risk of a person suffering from obesity, to be determined. The ability to be vulnerable to the possibility of overcoming obesity efforts of the poorest as a disincentive to identify open, “said Mark Friedman, principal investigator of the Monell Center.

The obesity epidemic is expected that due to the bad habits of eating a diet rich in fats and carbohydrates are produced, which in its end trigger weight gain. The growth trend of the weight after eating a diet high in fat, among others, are controlled by genes. There are certain people who are slightly overweight than others, while the same food.

In this latest research, experts in monitoring a group of rats with a tendency toward obesity by dietary fat through a test to an increase in triglycerides after eating a serving of food fat. The mice were subjected to a high fat diet for the next four weeks.

In the method, experts have predicted that mice, whose bodies have fattened for a period of four weeks for a form of the metabolic response to food in the previous test fat. Research shows more gain changes in triglyceride levels in mice on the floor, more weight.

So far, there may be biological markers or biomarkers to predict simply the tendency to obesity due to fat. Therefore, there is still no clinical trial to help doctors identify people at risk for obesity.

These results show that changes in the level of triglycerides in the blood may one day can be used as a method. Further research should be able to show more details about the mechanism behind changes in levels of triglycerides.
