<p><strong>What can parents do?</strong></p>
<p>• Children are affected by diet they get home and looking after their parents&#8217; eating habits. Therefore, the children are offered a healthy and varied diet. How can they learn to like healthy food and take good habits on in life.</p>
<p>• It is advisable to set limits on how much time children are allowed to spend on television and computer. You should find alternative activities that involve physical movement. If children experience the joy of being active is great probability that they will prioritize this as well as adults.<span id="more-681"></span></p>
<p>• Eating in front of the television and data should be limited. It is easy to eat without thinking about when you are busy with such computer games.</p>
<p>• The rule of Saturday may well be useful. When the children know that they are allowed to indulge in candy one day a week, and with such an agreement makes it easier to avoid eating well the other day.</p>
<p>• <strong><a href="http://www.alpineclassic.org/tag/overweight">Overweight</a></strong> children need encouragement and a feeling that some understanding of weight issues. It is important that they feel accepted regardless of weight.</p>

<p>A person can be overweight, underweight, or an <a href="http://www.alpineclassic.org/?s=ideal+weight"><strong>ideal weight</strong></a>. There is no perfect weight for a child, but there are ideal weight ranges for children, depending on your height and whether it is a boy or a girl. While <a href="http://www.alpineclassic.org/?s=healthy+children"><strong>healthy children</strong></a> may weigh a little more or a little less, a good weight limit is between 23 and 32 kilos (50 to 70 pounds) for an 8 year old.</p>
<p>However, being overweight is more than a number on the scale. A doctor is the ideal person to get an opinion about the weight of a child; you can consider an ideal <a href="http://www.alpineclassic.org/?s=weight+range"><strong>weight range</strong></a> for a child taking into account your height. It is natural for a child higher than a child despite lower, without implying that you are overweight. Perhaps the best way to determine if a child is overweight is to use the so-called body mass index or BMI.</p>
<p>BMI uses height and weight of a child in a mathematical calculation which is obtained with a number. That number may be in a table which considers the child&#8217;s age and whether it is a boy or a girl. BMI is an indicator of body fat a person, but is only an estimate. Considering that muscle weighs more than fat, a person may have a high BMI muscular, but that does not mean overweight.</p>
<p>Similarly, it is possible that someone with a low BMI or ideal in any case have too much body fat.</p>
