University of Rhode Island provides new tips for us who want to have a proportional body, which is chew gum. For chewing gum makes you eat fewer calories and spend a total of more energy.
The conclusion was found after Kathleen Melanson, a professor of nutrition and food science, doing research unique. Melanson comparing respondents who chewed sugar free gum with a gum chewing is not at all.
Group that chewing gum, was asked to perform these rituals for one hour every morning. The result, at lunchtime, their calorie consumption is 67 calories less than that do not chew gum. Something similar happened to male respondents. Melason also found that respondents who chewed gum before and after eating, they spend 5 percent more energy than many who did not. “Respondents told them I was even more energetic.”
That’s why, Melanson belief, eating chewing gum is an activity that makes us a perfect burn calories. This means that the energy that we have been in pretty portions. “This is the balance of energy and calories that lead to flat stomach.”
What happened was during chewing gum? Melanson explains, the jaw muscles we are stimulated by chewing movements that we do. This stimulation signal to the brain, especially the sensation of hunger dibagian. Because we are always chewing, then the signal is active in the brain satiety which then allows us to reduce portion sizes.
Melanson involved respondents are women and men aged 35 years. They were then asked to be analyzed in the URI Energy Metabolism Lab after fasting overnight. The respondents were then asked to chew gum 20 minutes before breakfast. After that all three hours, they were asked to chew gum 2 gum chewed each for 20 minutes.
On the second visit, respondents were still asked to do the same thing. However, they later viewed the body’s metabolism working and blood sugar before and after breakfast and lunch. “Conclusion early, chewing gum can be tried for the success of weight-loss program,” said Melanson as he told intention to conduct further research.
